HiguchiPhoenix has started a donation pool!
1,340 / 4,700
Please help me upgrade the Legion of Mystic Heroes!
The Legion has long since died. Thank you to everyone who has donated thus far to the cause. I will be saving the points for another worthy cause, however, as I refuse to use points that were meant for a worthy cause on myself.

The awkward and excitable HiguchiPhoenix is now offering open commissions! If, after seeing the prices below, you are still confused about how much your commission will cost, please message me for an estimate price!

All commissions are expected to be paid upfront and to my PayPal. The e-mail is (Yes I still use Yahoo DON'T JUDGE MEEEEE)

Before finalization of a commission, I will draw a sketch or two and ask whether or not it is to your taste. This can happen three times. The fourth and onward will involve a fee of +$3 per, simply because sketches, like everything else, take time and effort. It is my intention to draw exactly what you are looking for as well as I can, but there is no pleasing some people, ay?
This fee is nulled if it is a misunderstanding on my part, but know that this will be at my own discretion.

Headshot, Uncolored: $10
Headshot, Colored: $15
Full Body, Uncolored: $20
Full Body, Colored: $25
Multiple Characters, Uncolored: $20 +$5 per person
Multiple Characters, Colored: $25 +$7 per person

Added Background: +$3 to purchase if uncolored, +$5 if colored

Standalone Background, Uncolored: $7
Standalone Background, Colored: $10

Anything that does not fit any of this criteria (animals, mythical creatures, or what have you) will be considered negotiable.

This commission type is somewhat negotiable. The following are only BALLPARK ESTIMATES. For a true estimate, please contact me.

One Page, Uncolored: $25
One Page, Colored: $40

This commission type is very negotiable, as it is dependent on what is being animated, how many frames there are, and the duration of the animation. The following are only BALLPARK ESTIMATES, whereas a true price will be set once negotiations are underway.

An animation with one character doing a thing, uncolored:
15 frames, 3 seconds: $25
30 frames, 3 seconds: $40

An animation with one character doing a thing, colored:
15 frames, 3 seconds: $35
30 frames, 3 seconds: $60

Caramelldansen, Uncolored: $20
Caramelldansen, Colored: $30

(To give a little perspective: It takes me somewhere between 6-12 hours to make 30 frames, depending almost entirely on the animation content itself. The more moving elements in the animation--more characters, moving backgrounds, etc--the pricier your animation will be.)

This purchase does not mean you own the art. A commission fee is to pay for the service of the art itself. Actual ownership of a piece of art is kept by the artist unless they agree otherwise.
This means:
:bulletpink: You may utilize the art for personal reasons such as personal wallpapers, personal avatars, etc.
:bulletpink: You may ONLY post the art somewhere else WITH PROPER CREDIT TO THE ARTIST.
:bulletpink: You absolutely may not resell this art under any conditions. (It happens. I've seen it. Don't be that guy.)

(I do not believe copyright will be an issue with y'all though, I have faith in you.)

You must be logged in to donate.
Tagged by :iconserenanatori:. I don't get tagged a lot, I was surprised.

1. - You must post these rules.
2. - Each person has to share 10 things about them
3. - Answer the 10 questions asked to you and invent 10 questions the people you tag will have to answer.
4. - Choose 10 people and put their icons on your journal
5. - Go to their page to inform them they are tagged
6. - Not something like " you are tagged if you read that"
7. - You have to legitimately tag 10 people
8. - No tag-backs
9. - You can’t say that you don't do tags.
10. - YOU MUST MAKE A JOURNAL ENTRY. NO COMMENTS. Unless you're commenting about the actual entry WE DO WHAT WE WAAAAAAAANT

10 Facts About Me
  • I am a lazy perfectionist that never gets anything done.
  • I am somewhat neurotic.
  • When I type, I try to make it sound like the way I talk. This is why I may add commas in strange places, lengthen words, and use capital letters. It's not meant to be annoying, it's meant to be phonetic.
  • I live with my grandparents. Well, with my grandfather and an urn containing my grandmother. And my brother.
  • I haven't been writing or roleplaying a lot recently, and while I find it depressing, I never seem to actively try to start again. (Attempts have been made by trying to join RP Groups with my friend but they tend to not kick off so quick. Here's hoping one day I'll be back in the RPing business?)
  • I have over 900 OCs FEAR ME
  • I never wear make up. Ever.
  • I shower once a fortnight.
  • I used to get three colds a year. Now I never get sick. IMMUNE SYSTEM.
  • In place of colds, I now get infections everywhere.
1. What is your favorite country? Ever was to it?
Ever been to it, you mean? :B
I haven't travelled much, so it's difficult to say if I'd actually like any particular country more than any other, but I hear Sweden is a good place to be. I've never been anywhere outside of the US save Canada.

2. What do you prefer? Noodles, potatoes or rice?
POTATOES. (If Silver's answer is any different I will be shocked.)

3. Do you ever printed digital Art of you / your friends?
Not since I had to print things for Graphic Arts class.

4. If you are male, have you traits you think are feminine? If you are female, have you traits you think are masculine?
I have mustache fuzz. Yes I am sexy.

5. Which languages you learned in school?
I took Latin, but I don't remember much anymore.

6. Do you prefer drawing male or female OC's? least the ratio seems to say so.............I CAN'T DRAW CURVES AND BOOBS OKAY

7. Ever traded cards of a trading card game such as Pokemon or Yu-Gi-OH?
Yes, I used to have both. I would play against my brother a lot. He eventually moved on to play Magic: The Gathering and tried to teach me, but that's about where I finally stopped, though not without playing long enough to make a comic.

MAGIC: Serpant of the Endless Sea and Gravity by HiguchiPhoenix

8. Do you have a pet? If yes, whats it's name? If no, which one would you choose and how would you name it?
We recently had to give away our dog Moose, whom Grampa received from a couple who could not handle his energetic nature. We gave him up not because of this, but because he would dig holes all around the marina. Even if he refilled the holes--which he did not enjoy doing--Grampa informed me that the ground would still be soft, and customers could get injured if they walked on unexpectedly soft soil and fell, creating a liability. It was unfortunate, but seeing as the marina is still a business, we had to say good by to our friend. We only had him for a few months.

9. What do you prefer to write on paper with? Pen, Pencil, something other?
Pencil. Though I find that I sometimes do better with pens. Perhaps the knowledge of not being allowed to fix mistakes make me not make mistakes. That or I'm just better about not caring about them.

10. Ever bought something and regret it afterwards?
Indeed. My grandfather doesn't spoil us in the way other parents do (iPhones, game systems, etc.) so I'm not used to being indulged in my wants, so when I indulge myself anyway (buying ramen when I don't need it, buying video games) I always feel a bit of regret afterwards. I didn't need it, I just wanted it, and that's not very responsible of me.

  1. If a wood chuck could chuck as much wood as a wood chuck could have you ever had a splinter.
  2. What's your favorite food? Why is it your favorite food? Is there a backstory?
  3. What's your favorite genre of music? Do you know why?
  4. What are some usernames you use on other sites? (If you're not afraid of sharing.)
  5. Got any gaming consoles? What kinds? How did you get them?
  6. How do you feel about spiders?
  7. Is it pronounced tomato or tomato?
  8. What is 'romance' to you?
  9. Are there any mythical creatures or cryptids you are convinced actually exist? How come? And why not some others?
  10. Do you believe in your heart?

TAGS - I know some of you don't like to do it, but it's the thought that counts right?

I'm sorry, I'm sorry. :( Please forgive me, I did not realize that poetry is too easy. I thought it was easier for me because I was good at it, not because it is inherently easy. D: I'll do something else for you in return. Pick something for me to do for you in return? I can do various stuff. Just don't ask me to do a Flash nor any 3D models--Flash animations can take weeks, and 3D Models can take months. D: When I wrote that poem called "Lunar Bunnies" or something like that, it took me three days. No joke. I had to have it perfect, it had to be just so. My poetry is calculated and I write it meticulously, paying extra attention to detail. I don't just write something down and call it "done". I revise it, rework it, until I feel it is perfect. Short Stories take about three to four weeks, perhaps, if I'm not suffering from writer's block. Not to mention I usually spend most of that time revising and reworking it, as well as asking friends if they can help me proofread it. Often I get stuck deep into the story and suffer writer's block halfway through, before I finally figure out how to continue writing it from there. There have been times where it took me several months to write a story, in fact, longer than I've spent on any but one of my animations. I've had a 3D model I had been working on that took me many months, if not over a year to complete.

So yeah. It's not like I just throw words at a blank Word document and call it poetry. I don't want to write junk, I want to write something worthwhile, stuff people would actually want to read (if they would even give it a chance-I've written stuff before and no one wanted to read them on the grounds of it being fan-fiction or on the grounds of it being poetry...>_> It's both a curse and a blessing to be good at writing types of literature that tend to have not so good reputations...). I mean, no one wants to read a fan fiction from a nobody. D: And no one wants to read poetry because they'd rather read an original story. Granted, some of my earliest poetry on deviantART is rather junk, before I got serious with it and decided to put more effort into them.

Nevertheless, I won't write poetry for you, but will do something else for you of your choice. What will it be?

Oh! And when I said comic, I didn't mean one with a plot. I meant a sequence. >< My bad. More specifically, I want a before, during, and after sequence of transformation. >< I'm just too used to calling any artwork with multiple panels a "comic". ><

But never mind about the art trade, I think I'll turn it into a request from you--I write or draw something for you, you won't need do anything for me in return. Consider it an apology from me because I was so stupid to think that the art trade was even fair (I feel like such an idiot). So, instead of asking for something from you, I'll write/draw something for you instead. I want to make it up, somehow. T_T
